BANDERA, TX -- Don’t miss Labor Day Weekend in Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World! Bandera’s cowboy heritage is celebrated annually during this exciting Labor Day weekend event in the scenic Texas Hill Country. In the late 1800’s, Bandera became a major gathering place for over 10 million head of Longhorn cattle and scores of cowboys who guided them north. The Longhorns were rounded up here and herded via the famous Great Western Trail to railheads in Nebraska, Montana and Canada.
This Labor Day Weekend, September 4th & 5th, the Cowboy Capital of the World will be transformed back to that magical time of the old west for Bandera Round-Up. This small, classic old west town will turn back the clock and the pages of history to the late 1800s – back to the era of cattle drives, gunfighters and thrilling rodeo skills, for the purpose of celebrating Bandera’s 168th birthday.
What will you find at Bandera Round-Up? The most authentic cowboy experience around!
